Horses of the Apocalypse

These  four horses of the apocalypse are a sculpture carved out of Jelutong.

Old War Office Cartouche

This piece will be situated above a fireplace in what was Sir Winston Churchill’s office and will now be part of the entrance hall of the new Raffles hotel, the first 6 star hotel in London.
 

NHS Nameplate

I carved this NHS nameplate to commemorate the amazing work and sacrifices that all NHS staff have undertaken to keep us well over the past months. It’s carved in European oak with the nurse and mask with wings either side signifying “ Angels without faces “

The rainbow and dove signify hope !

Dunham House

All carved details are situated in the entrance hall, staircase and balcony of this beautiful Victorian property.
96 barley twist spindles, 14 large newel posts as well as door frame and fireplace carvings all add to this beautiful and perfect restoration.

 

Intelligence Corps Nameplates

I was commissioned by Neal Harrison MBE and Captain Rod Farnworth The two Intelligence Corps nameplates are to go into the headquarters of the Bedfordshire base on the wall near the entrance to a 13th century priory.

 

I was also commissioned by to carve a commemorative table with an ‘absent friends’ inscription to in honour of lost servicemen.

Lion Paws

I was recently commissioned to hand carve a lions paw in Limewood. These paws were used to caste twelve nickel paws and used as the feet for two handmade display cabinets.

Large Pine Columns with Ionic Capitals

I carved these large columns as part of a  restoration of a beautiful Georgian property.

Oak Griffon Staircase Panel

This staircase detail is part of the renovation of a London property owned by a member of the great Fleetwood Mac.

Large Bumble Bee

Victoria Station Arcade

This Victorian shopping arcade has been renovated back to its former glory. Window turnings and laurel leaf details all add to this beautiful place.
 

Synagogue Centrepiece

I recently completed a Synagogue centrepiece.in European Oak. Images show the crown, grapevine and wheatsheaf carved detail .

Imperator Eagle

I was recently tasked with to carving the figurehead of a German ocean liner called 'Imperator' that was handed over to Britain after World War One under the Versailles treaty, It is carved in oak and is being donated to the International Maritime Museum. This carving was completed using only drawings of the original.

Hairdressing Sign

This group of images are for a local hairdressing bussiness. I constructed the piece from oak with mitred corner mouldings. and incorporated the clients initials and with a star background. The centrepiece has two horses side by side with 18” high 'electric' lettering below them and 3 inch high 'hairdressing London' wording. After completion i met up with the world famous hairdressing owner.

48 Acanthus Leaf Turned Columns

An exclusive client asked me  to carve 48 turned columns with acanthus leaf detail for a master bedroom.

Goring Hotel Reception Desk Legs

I recently completed this project for the Goring Hotel. Below are the  reception desk legs in mahogany. Below you can see ball and eagles claw feet with acanthus leaf ankles, A scroll, shell and acanthus leaf crests on the legs. The legs can be seen on completed desk, shown below.

Oak Tree Gate

It has a tree detail carved on both sides to make the whole tree and was constructed with dovetails, mortise and tenon and halving joints.

Heston's Vicar's Table

I recently completed this 5.3 metre long, English Oak table for a famous chef. The wording was taken from a poem from the Vicar of Bray and was hand drawn and carved in italic lettering and resides in the Vicar's Room in the Hind Head Pub in Bray.

Woodhart Company Logo

I was asked to carve this logo for the Woodhart Group, a firm of carpenters and joiners . Hand carved stag and lettering in solid English oak.

Bespoke Hand Carved Squirrel

I was recently  commissioned to copy a resin squirrel . The squirrel was hand drawn, cut and carved in my workshop, from mahogany.

Gable End Wood Carving

Assorted work on large oak gable end of Tudor style property . Images of various stages of work including the carving of stags heads , angel wings , acorns and oak leaves‏. All artwork was specifically drawn from information and ideas that the client specified as being of significant to their lives and as such is a very personal piece.

The Mad Hatter Sign

To commemorate 150 years since Lewis Carol wrote Alice in Wonderland I was commisioned to produce a hand carved sign. I used Iroko Wood

and sketched out the design on the wood before commence with the wood carving. On this sign I opted to use upper case Roman numerals.
